For Mia Papaefthimiou setting up MIA PAPA as an ethical and ‘slow’ fashion brand dedicated to sustainable practices considering both people working on it and the planet was mandatory. For this reason the brand has collaborated from day one with expertized local artisans who craft the entire production line by hand, from sewing to printing.

EDITORIAL

The ancient citadel of Mycenae is located in Argolis, in the region of Peloponnese. Ιt was an imposing site atop a rocky hill which was fortified by “Cyclopean” walls to protect the palace and other important structures of the Mycenaeans. Its strategic location allowed Mycenae to control commerce between the Aegean and the mainland. Naturally, it grew over a period of a hundred years (1350-1200 BCE) to one of the richest and most powerful mainland centres of Bronze Age Greece. In Greek mythology, Iphigenia was the princess of Mycenae, the daughter of King Agamemnon and Queen Clytemnestra.

Iphigenia means "born to strength’’ and so is our cover girl Evelina. Evelina is a strong and independent woman running her own pharmacy in Athens for several years. Holding a master of science in Environment and Health, she has taught Pharmacology and Methodology to candidate pharmacy assistants and has attended several educational programs and seminars. But her strength and passion do not stop here. She is a true art and music lover. As a multi-talented nature, she plays the piano and currently express herself through modern dance and vocal lessons, in an effort to explore her limits further. She adores travelling, being in nature, reading and everything that inspires and gives her the opportunity to learn and better understand herself, other people and the world around her. She believes that kindness is the real superpower. Her life role model is the Homo Universalis and her goal is to live a life full of light and wisdom.
